What
are the requirements to be an egg donor?
A potential egg donor should be between the ages of 19 and
33. She should be healthy, with proportioned weight and height.
A donor should not be using any mind altering drugs such as Marijuana,
LSD, heroin, cocaine etc..

How
long will it take before I'm matched with a recipient
It could take a day, it could take several months, depending
on what the recipient is looking for in a donor. Our goal is to
get donors matched as quickly as possible.

is the process once matched?
The egg donor cycle takes about 3 to 6 weeks, depending on the schedules
of everyone involved.

Can I be
an egg donor if my tubes are tied?
Yes, the procedure is done vaginally.

Should I
stop taking my birth control pills?
No, continue until you speak with the fertility center. Depo Provera
injections or Norplant affect the timing of the your normal cycle,
which will delay your egg donor cycle. If you are interested in
being an egg donor, we suggest you use an alternative form of birth
control.

Are egg
donors compensated?
Yes. First time donors are compensated $5,000.00 for their time
and effort, upon completion of the cycle. Repeat donors receive
higher compensation.

Who will pay the medical cost?
All cost are the responsibility of the recipients, unless the donor
violates her contract.

How are the
eggs retrieved?
The egg retrieval process is an outpatient procedure. Light anesthesia
is administered. A vaginal probe is placed into the vagina and fluid
from the follicles is collected. This procedure will take approximately
30 minutes, with 1-2 hours recovery time.
