STEP 1: REVIEW EGG DONOR REQUIREMENTS

You must review the Donor Requirements to determine whether you will qualify as an egg donor.

STEP 2: COMPLETE THE ONLINE APPLICATION:

If you meet the requirements, you may complete the online application, which will take approximately 10 to 15 minutes to fill out. Please make sure you have sufficient uninterrupted time to complete the application. If you prefer, you may also call or email our office for an application by mail.

STEP 3: PRINT SIGNATURE PAGE AND MAIL WITH PHOTOS

If you have completed your application online, you will be instructed to print and sign the last page, and to mail it to our office, together with photographs of yourself and your children (if any). Glamour shots are also welcome. If you have requested an application by mail, please complete the application, sign and mail it to EDSI, together with photos.

STEP 3: DATABASE

Your application will be reviewed by our staff. If you are accepted to the donor program, your application and photo will be added to our online database. The database will not include any identifying information, such as last name, date of birth, social security number, etc.

STEP 4: MATCHING PROCESS

After you have been selected by a recipient, we will start the matching process. A staff professional will guide you through all necessary steps, including coordination and facilitation of appointments and contacts between you, counselors, attorneys and the fertility specialist. You will also be compensated for your time, effort, pain and suffering, upon completion of your cycle. A first time donor is compensated $5,000.00. Repeat donors are compensated at a higher rate.

STEP 5: THE EGG DONOR CYCLE (Approximately 4-6 weeks)

1. Once you are matched, you will meet with a psychological counselor for screening, evaluation and clearance.
2. You will meet with the recipients' fertility specialist for your physical examination and clearance.
3. You will receive the legal contracts. You will have an opportunity to review and get legal advice about the contract. All costs are paid by the recipients.
4. Your egg donor cycle is synchronized with that of the recipient mother.

a. You will most likely be placed on birth control pills.
b. You will receive instructions on use of medications and injections in preparation for the egg donor cycle.
c. You will have routine ultrasounds and Doctor's visits throughout the cycle in preparation for the egg retrieval.
d. The eggs are retrieved through a non-surgical procedure, and under sedation. The procedure takes approximately 20-30 minutes.

STEP 6: COMPLETION OF CYCLE

After confirmation of retrieval by the physician, fees are sent to the donor.

Our goal at EDSI is to make your egg donor experience as easy and rewarding as possible.
